WPR is founded on and inspired by the engineering legacy of William E. Johnson III, a veteran product and systems designer with more than 25 years of experience advancing ultraviolet and photonic technologies from PCB-level design to fully integrated, production-ready platforms.

William’s work established a principle that continues to guide WPR's operations today: complex systems must be measurable, controllable, and verifiable. His approach treated UV not as a static component, but as a system—integrating sensing, embedded control, diagnostics, and data to validate performance, reduce downtime, and improve reliability in demanding environments.
